After forty years out of service, in 1994 the End of the World Train resumed part of the old route once traveled by the prison train, which departed from the Ushuaia prison—located in the city center—and headed toward the slopes of Mount Susana to gather materials (wood and stone) for the prison’s construction. The train’s main station is located just 7 km from the city of Ushuaia, and it is there that our guides and attendants will invite you to relive the final 7 km of the journey.

On board the train, you’ll hear the story of the prisoners who came to this area daily to cut wood, and you’ll be treated to magnificent scenery, including the meandering Pipo River, La Macarena Waterfall, the “tree cemetery,” and the majestic lenga forest. In this way, you’ll visit an otherwise inaccessible part of Tierra del Fuego National Park, where you can enjoy this experience aboard a vintage train, with its steam locomotives and elegant cars featuring large windows and an individual audio system that allows you to listen to the story in 7 different languages, so you can not only appreciate the nature around you but also learn about a very important part of Ushuaia’s history.

The Beagle Channel tour is one of Ushuaia’s most iconic experiences.
It takes place on tourist boats that cruise through waters surrounded by mountains and southern landscapes.

During the tour, you’ll visit small islands inhabited by sea lions and various birds.
One of the most photographed spots is the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, an icon of the region.
The tour offers unique panoramic views of the city from the sea.
You can also spot cormorants and other species typical of the “End of the World.”

Some departures include longer excursions to penguin colonies. On the way back, we disembark on Bridges Island to walk along an interpretive trail featuring local flora and birdlife, while we share the history of the Yámana indigenous people. This island is home to the largest anthropogenic Yámana shell middens in the region.

Since it is the largest island, we visit the highest vantage point, from which we can admire the magnificence of the Beagle Channel with the city of Ushuaia in the distance.

We’ll embark on an unforgettable journey through the majestic Andes Mountains, now covered in snow. Then, an exciting off-road adventure will immerse us in the wildest aspects of winter and take us to our private lodge, where an authentic Argentine asado awaits us.
Our 4×4 adventure begins with a departure from the hotel in Ushuaia, taking us into a stunning snow-covered glacial valley. The first leg of the journey culminates at Paso Garibaldi, the only mountain pass that crosses the majestic range of the Fuegian Andes. From this high vantage point in the mountain range, we’ll enjoy a privileged view of the snow-capped peaks and Lake Escondido, a small natural wonder that we’ll later travel from south to north along National Route 3.
Near the northern end of Lago Escondido, we’ll leave the paved road behind to embark on an exciting off-road adventure. We’ll venture along the old paths of a sawmill—covered in snow and ice—which soon turn into challenging trails impassable for conventional vehicles. These will lead us directly to Lake Fagnano, Argentina’s fifth-largest lake, where its vast expanse will take our breath away.
In the forest, on the shores of Lake Fagnano’s imposing coastline, we’ll have free time to walk and explore Bombilla Lagoon, which is frozen for much of the winter. Meanwhile, our guide will prepare a hearty and comforting meal, which we’ll enjoy in comfort at our exclusive lodge. Nestled in the midst of this pristine, snow-covered natural setting, far from the hustle and bustle of modern life, this moment will be the perfect finale to our day of exploration in Tierra del Fuego.
