Inca Trail Trek & Machu Picchu

This tour offers beautiful rainforest scenery with a wide variety of flora and fauna. You’ll also visit the archaeological sites of Chachabamba and Wiñay Wayna, and you’ll have the opportunity to visit Machu Picchu twice. This allows you to take photos at both sunset and sunrise, making this tour an even more exciting experience.

Pickup from the hotel and departure at 4:00 a.m. to begin our 2-day hike along the Inca Trail. We’ll travel by car for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to Ollantaytambo, where we’ll have breakfast. Then, we’ll board the train to Kilometer 104 (the trailhead). The hike begins in the Sacred Valley and ascends along a cobblestone Inca path to the archaeological site of Wiñay Wayna. After visiting Wiñay Wayna, we’ll enjoy a picnic with an incredible view of the mountains. After enjoying our meal, we’ll hike through the lush, green cloud forest that covers the mountain, observing a wide variety of plants, flowers, orchids, and birds along the way.

After a full day of hiking, we’ll arrive at the Puerta del Sol, where you’ll get your first view of Machu Picchu stretching across the mountain ridge. From there, we’ll hike for about 45 more minutes until we reach Machu Picchu. We’ll explore the upper section of the site along Circuit 01, where you can take the famous postcard photo of Machu Picchu. Then, we’ll take a bus to Aguas Calientes, arriving around 5:00 p.m. Once there, the guide will help you check in at your hotel. You’ll have free time before dinner, during which you can visit the hot springs for a relaxing soak. After dinner, you’ll return to the hotel for the night.

On the second day, after breakfast, you’ll return to Machu Picchu by bus, and our guide will take you on a tour of Machu Picchu along Circuit 03. For about 2 to 3 hours, your guide will show you the main points of interest, such as the Temple of the Sun, the Inca houses, the water fountains, the agricultural terraces, the Sacred Rock, the Temple of the Condor, and the granary.

Return to Aguas Calientes, free time for lunch, then return by train to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco.

Salkantay & Machu Picchu Trek

This route is designed for experienced mountain lovers and adventurers, offering spectacular views of Mount Salkantay.

On the first day, you’ll ascend the impressive Mount Salkantay to an altitude of 4,650 meters, enjoying one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the entire Andes mountain range. We continue along the historic Llactapata Trail, an authentic ancient Inca path that offers a unique and unparalleled view of Machu Picchu before arriving at this wonder of the world. The final day culminates with an exploration of Machu Picchu, where you’ll have the chance to enjoy this beautiful archaeological site.

We’ll depart early in the morning for Soraypampa, the starting point of your unforgettable trek. Here, we’ll enjoy a hearty and energizing breakfast.
Around 6:30 a.m., we’ll begin the ascent to the highest point on the entire Salkantay Trail, located at an impressive 4,630 meters above sea level.
After about three hours of hiking, we’ll celebrate reaching the summit and enjoy the breathtaking views of Mount Salkantay. Here, we’ll take a moment to make an offering to the Apus in gratitude for their guidance along the way.

Afterward, the descent begins, covering a total of 15 kilometers down to an altitude of 2,900 meters. This downhill hike is divided into two sections: the first, from the summit to the lunch stop, takes approximately 2 hours. After a well-deserved lunch break, the hike continues for another 3 hours until you reach Chawllay, where you’ll take local transportation for about 1 hour to the charming Lucmabamba camp.
In Lucmabamba, you’ll stay in starlight domes, allowing you to sleep under the stars in the heart of the jungle—a truly unique and immersive experience.

We start very early and enjoy a delicious breakfast. We begin the hike from the Lucmabamba campsite to the Llactapata archaeological site. The hike includes a 3-hour ascent along an ancient Inca trail leading to Llactapata, where you’ll enjoy unique views of Machu Picchu, Waynapicchu, and the surrounding mountains. After exploring the ruins, you’ll descend toward Hidroeléctrica, which involves a steep 2-hour hike where the use of trekking poles is recommended.

Upon arriving at the hydroelectric plant, we’ll have lunch at a local restaurant and have time to rest before continuing the journey. We’ll finish the hike in Aguas Calientes, where we’ll be staying.

Dinner is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at a local restaurant, where we’ll go over the details for the next day’s adventure at Machu Picchu.

After breakfast, we’ll begin our tour of the Citadel of Machu Picchu. We’ll take a bus at the scheduled time, and the tour will begin with our professional guide

For about 2 to 3 hours, your guide will show you the main points of interest, such as the Temple of the Sun, the Inca houses, the water fountains, the agricultural terraces, the Sacred Rock, the Temple of the Condor, and the granary.
Return to Aguas Calientes; free time for lunch and shopping. At the scheduled time, board the train for the return trip to Ollantaytambo, followed by a transfer to the city of Cusco.
Return to your selected hotel.
