Departing from Puerto Pañuelo on the majestic Llao Llao Peninsula, after an hour-long boat ride, you’ll arrive at the Quetrihue Peninsula, located in the northeastern part of Lake Nahuel Huapi, home to the legendary Arrayanes Forest.

The arrayán (“quetrihue” in the Mapuche language) is a shrub with exquisite saffron-colored foliage and white flowers. In this place, unique in the world, it grows to the size of a tree, forming a magical and unusual forest.

After exploring this incomparable setting, you’ll sail to Puerto Anchorena on Victoria Island, where you’ll find a rich variety of visually striking plant species.

As you hike along the trails of this beautiful, ancient island, you’ll reach Playa del Toro, where you can see the cave paintings created by the indigenous peoples who once inhabited this area, set against the backdrop of a stunning volcanic sand beach. It’s an unforgettable experience!

Cerro Tronador is the highest peak in the Bariloche area. Along the way, you’ll find lookouts where you can take in breathtaking views of the majestic glaciers, as well as Mount Bonete and Cresta de Gallo, and enjoy the vistas of the dark-sand beaches of Lake Mascardi. It is an area of exceptional beauty, visited every year by lovers of the mountains, climbing, and fishing, as it features prime spots such as Lake Los Moscos and the Manso River, which flows into Lake Hess.

Visit the El Ventisquero Negro Lookout, a glacier that descends from Mount Tronador and is notable for its dark color.
